Dusty Coleman


Bio

Current Role: 15U Fall Practice Coach

Grew up in Sioux Falls, SD and went to Wichita State University to play baseball.

Started at shortstop as a freshman in 2007. Drafted after his sophomore season by

the Oakland Athletics in the 28th round of the 2008 Draft and signed to leave for pro ball

after making the Cape Cod League All-Star team. He was a 3-time All-Star in the

Minor Leagues with the Athletics, as well as a player the prospect Fall League. Dusty

played 6 seasons in the Oakland Athletics organization making it up to AAA. Played for the

Kansas City Royals in 2015 when he made his MLB debut. Played for the Royals

organization through the 2016. In 2017, Dusty signed a minor league contract with

the San Diego Padres and played to seasons with them, including a two-month stint

in the Major Leagues in 2017.


He retired after the 2018 season and is currently working for Titan Surgical Group

in KC.


Playing Experience

Played in 31 MLB games mostly at SS: 71 at bats, 15 hits, 4 HR, 9 RBI


Played in 1032 Minor League games over 10 seasons.


Coaching Experience

Been coaching camps and clinic since 2009.


Affiliated with Gold Glove Baseball Academy where he coached winter workout and

did private lessons.
